Four friends, four swimsuits and a choreography that wasn’t in the script.

Anna Faris (49), Leslie Mann (54), Isla Fisher (50) and Michelle Buteau (49) posted a video dancing in bikinis to promote ‘Spa Weekend’, their new comedy released on August 21. Mann chose a black bikini, Faris a blue-and-brown striped one, Fisher a pink-and-purple leopard-print swimsuit, and Buteau a cobalt-blue one. The caption summed it all up: “Best friends, swimsuits and bad decisions”.

What almost no one remembers is what happened months earlier, during filming at a luxury resort in Queensland, Australia. A real cyclone hit the area and went so far as to shake the buildings on the set, forcing production to stop for several days. The film, directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (the same directors behind ‘Bad Moms’ and ‘The Hangover’), follows a group of friends who escape to a spa to reconnect with themselves. Critics were not kind —57% on Rotten Tomatoes—, but the video on Instagram has already done its own work.
