It all started with some bikini photos that ended up on the cover of a magazine and that Jennifer Love Hewitt says she could never forget.
In 2007, photographs of the actress during a vacation began circulating, and her body became a topic of conversation. One magazine even published a cover about her figure with the headline ““Stop calling me fat!””. Although Jennifer publicly responded at the time by defending her body, years later she acknowledged that it affected her much more than she let on.
Almost two decades have passed since then. Jennifer became a mother of three, grew older and, naturally, her body changed too. However, she says that part of the public still seems to compare her with the young woman they knew when she was 20. “People seem to find it very difficult to accept that I’m no longer like that”, she acknowledged.
She, by contrast, says that over the years she began to feel more comfortable with herself and that turning 40 allowed her to find an acceptance she did not have when she was younger.
That is why, although comparisons between her body then and now continue to appear, Jennifer is clear that she has no intention of feeling ashamed simply because the passage of time is also visible on her.
