House Passes It 285 98 Devastated Rep Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Cant Believe It As She Rejects Results Outright Again

The United States House of Representatives passed a landmark resolution formally condemning the “horrors of socialism” by a decisive 285-98 vote, delivering a major bipartisan statement against far-left political ideologies ahead of the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. The approved legislative measure explicitly denounces socialist principles in all forms and establishes a formal congressional stance opposing the implementation of socialist policies within the United States. The floor vote demonstrated a notable divide within the Democratic opposition, as 86 Democratic lawmakers crossed party lines to align with the Republican majority. Key Democratic leaders joined the vote, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, alongside several representatives from New York and New Jersey.Republican Representative French Hill of Arkansas emphasized the foundational objective of the resolution during floor debate leading up to the final roll call.“A yes vote on this resolution should be a relatively straightforward, easy decision. It simply states that Congress denounces socialism in all its forms and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States of America.”
