Arturi comes to “Sihemi në Gjyq” from “E Diela Shqiptare” on Tv Klan in a heavy emotional state. He says that he has been stained and ashamed for 50 years. In front of him is his neighbor, Lavdia, and in the audience is her husband, Thomai.
Arturi is married to Vali, with whom he has two sons, but he says that he has not been happy in this marriage. He feels that everyone, including the couple in the studio, has turned their backs on him, believing things that he did not do. Arturi says that he has been accused by his brother, Petriti, of killing his father, as well as having an affair with his son’s daughter-in-law.
Arturi: Oh sister! Why did you close the door on me? Why did you abandon me? I asked you for help! Why? Why all this? You rejected me! Lavdie: The whole village was talking bad about you and I could not come to open the door for you.
Artur: Sister, did you believe this too?
Lavdie: Of course I believed it…
Artur: How many years have you known me? What the hell do you know me for? Did you believe this Lavdie and close the door on me?
Lavdie: I believed Vali because she told me.
Eni Çobani: Vali is the wife?
Artur: Ex-wife because she’s not just a wife!
Eni Çobani: Legally you still have her as your wife.
Artur: Can you beat a mother, a wife and still support her? Can you?
Lavdie: Well, I knew as much as you told me now…
Artur: You’re right! If I were in your place, with what my brother’s wife said, who made me a fool, there’s no more black than a fool, but if I were in your place, there’s no way you’d believe it when you know me closely today, 30-odd years later!
Lavdie: Of course I would believe that, I wouldn’t believe you!
Artur: I was someone and ended up a nobody!
Lavdie: You destroyed your family! The village doesn’t love you, no one loves you, no one loves you! Everyone left you!
Artur: Didn’t you earn some respect? I asked you for help!
Lavdie: No, that’s the truth!
Artur: When you were in trouble, I found you. You abandoned me! I have your sister, I have your friend’s wife! That sister of yours, your friend, told you that I beat her?
Lavdie: Yes.
Artur: Would you like it, Lavdie, for your son, I don’t care who did it to me, we got into a fight when our daughter-in-law came in.
Lavdie: I know what he told me!
Artur: Petrit Sollaku caused my troubles! I’ve been suffering from that scumbag brother for 50 years! I killed my father! My father was found dead! I killed my father?! I caught the son’s daughter-in-law?! I caught the son’s daughter-in-law?!
Lavdie: That’s how they opened up now…
Artur: Oh my! You believed it too?! Who would be that parent to accept…does he have family here? Is the son’s daughter-in-law accepted, you stupid, stubborn son-in-law! Let alone school, there are two grades! Her stupid mother, stupid grandmother, three times married, three times divorced, two stupid uncles, what a stink this woman will produce?! Where is that friend of yours, where is she today?!
Lavdie: I don’t know where she is either.
Artur: It wasn’t my mother! What kind of mother is this that painted me black?
The father was found dead, Artur explains. Later, two more residents were found and for this the charges are again on him. He has also been in prison because of a protection order for allegedly exercising domestic violence. Artur accuses his wife of influencing the boys, saying that she is the reason they took “the path of the devil.”
