Perhaps many people may remember the musical group “Meteor”, which once performed in the first edition of “Magic Song”.
But it seems that the coincidences are strange. Altini, one of the group members, has been invited to “There’s a Message for You”, but unlike the familiar formula of the column, he arrives before the sender of the message in the program “Albanian Sunday”.
The reason for this is that Altin has been called by his biological mother, after 47 years, but in the meantime he tells his side of the story before the woman who gave him life comes and browses the past. Altin begins his story with the moment he learned that he was adopted. He says that while growing up he had heard words from others from time to time, but the right moment and chosen by them was after he finished his military service.
Altin: It was a normal day as usual. I sat down with both parents, they said it was time for us to talk and we see it as reasonable at the moment that you have the age, logic, and maturity to tell the truth. Dad couldn’t stand it, lit a cigarette and went outside, while Mom told me everything.
Altin: I know that when I was born, according to what my mother told me, I was handed over to institutions like orphanages from the maternity hospital, I don’t know where, in Durrës or somewhere else, and then to the Durrës orphanage. Then I was adopted normally within all the processes set at that time.
Ardit Gjebrea: Did you ever find out the motive?
Altin: I have no information about whatever the motive might be.
Ardit Gjebrea: Not even your father’s or mother’s name?
Altin: No, I don’t know my father’s name, but I heard my mother’s name from afar, but I can’t say if it’s correct or not.
Ardit Gjebrea: But you can say it’s no problem.
Altin: Yes, some say it’s Rukije, some Hekrie. I know my birth name because I’ve talked to my mother about many things, I know my name is Rudin and the name on the birth certificate, the year and date I was born. 17.12.1974, I’m currently 47 years old.
Ardit Gjebrea: Are your parents alive today?
Altin: No, my father died, it’s been almost 17 years, and I have my mother, she lives with me. She’s even the one who encouraged me the most. Telepathy, I don’t know why it came to me recently, I discussed it with my mother many times.
Altin: What if? If I felt it, not that I was the one who would ask or pushed by curiosity to ask because I was avoiding the rejection of the biological mother, like many other cases. But I was curious, I had a void, my soul was troubled to know about my future and origin because I also have two children who I have like light, you never know how time will come tomorrow.
