For a split second, I genuinely thought I was living a nightmare.
I looked into the toilet and saw thin, pale “worms” floating there. My heart started pounding instantly. My brain went straight to the worst possible conclusions—parasites, infections, something seriously wrong. I even zoomed in on photos, searching for movement, trying to prove I wasn’t losing my mind.
Friends were telling me to panic. “Call someone.” “Get out.” “That’s not normal.”
I was seconds away from completely spiraling…
Then one tiny, almost ridiculous detail changed everything.
I suddenly remembered my cat from the day before—coming inside like a champion after being outdoors, covered in dry grass, seeds, and little plant bits stuck all over his fur. I brushed some off, but clearly not all of it.
That morning, while I was drying my hair, the air must’ve blown those dry pieces around the bathroom. Some landed perfectly in the toilet bowl.
And once they hit the water?
They swelled, softened, and looked disturbingly alive.
Those “worms” weren’t worms at all.
Just wet pieces of grass.
All that panic… for something completely harmless.
