Ibrahim was walking alone to school in Grozny, Chechnya, when he saw two stray dogs sunbathing on the sidewalk.
He stopped. He crouched down and hugged them as if they were his own. Then he kept walking, but something stopped him halfway there: he paused to think for a few seconds and ran back to hug them again, more tightly and for longer. He thought no one could see him, but a neighbor recorded the entire scene from the window of their building.
When the video went viral, a family friend named Katerina confirmed that it was Ibrahim and explained that his affection was no coincidence: the boy also walks Katerina’s daughter to school every day and carries her backpack without anyone asking him to. Pure tenderness, with no cameras involved.
