When I came home from work one evening, I expected to find my children watching cartoons with their babysitter.Instead, I saw the babysitter walking out of the bathroom with wet hair wrapped in a towel. She quickly explained that my youngest had spilled milk on her clothes while the children were asleep, so she had taken a quick shower. Before I could fully process it, my husband appeared from the kitchen—even though he was supposed to be on the night shift. His sudden presence immediately made me uneasy, and I questioned why he was home at all.He calmly explained himself and defended the babysitter, insisting nothing inappropriate had happened.Although they both sounded convincing, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right.
